![]() About Utila
Nestled in the Caribbean Sea and
located approximately 18 miles from the Honduras mainland port of La Ceiba, the island of Utila is just 11 km long and 4 km
at its widest. With a population of about 6,000 people, it is also the smallest of the major islands in the Bay Islands group.
The thing to remember about Utila is this: yes, it is a little taste of paradise which provides some of the most outstanding
diving opportunities for vacationers, but for the natives of the island who are still there once we leave, it's home.
They endure day-to-day hardships that make ours seem almost nonexistent. So, when you're making the decision whether
or not to donate, please remember that they really need our help.
Founded in 2008, The Utila Children's
Relief Foundation is dedicated to raising awareness of the challenges that face Utila's children. We believe that the most
effective way to help those in need is a hands on approach, so we work with elected officials, leaders of faith based groups,
community activists, and volunteers from around the world to improve infrastructure, economic climate, and most of all;
educational opportunities. We seek to develop programs where students and professionals from around the world can volunteer
their services by working in the community to create, enhance, or maintain systems that benefit the Utilan community. However,
the primary focus is the children and their education. We want to teach the Utilan children that it is okay to have aspirations
for their future because; they have the ability to make their dreams come true with hard work, dedication, and opportunity.
Our mission is to help teach hope.

donate directly to this cause; by spreading awareness to more and more people, hopefully we will receive more contributions
to assist our cause. We also have many volunteer opportunities, so if you wish to contribute to this cause by donating you
